Daikin Turkey Cooperates with TLS Logistics

Daikin Turkey is cooperating with TLS Logistics. Aiming to make Turkey the region’s logistics base in the field of air conditioning, Daikin has taken an essential step in this direction. To manage all logistics services from a single center, Daikin Turkey has started delivering its products to outlets with the assurance of TLS Logistics.

Japanese air conditioning industry giant, Daikin, continues to take significant steps as part of its growth plans in Turkey. Daikin, which operates to make Turkey the region’s climate base, has partnered with TLS Logistics, providing distribution services to its business partners as a warehouse and warehouse operator. Daikin Turkey, which aims to extend its success in manufacturing to all pre-and post-sales processes, has chosen TLS Logistics’ Heka Facilities in Şekerpınar as its distribution center. Daikin Turkey has been allocated a storage area of 16,000 m2 in Heka Storage Facilities with a size of 25,000 m2 and a capacity of 60,000-EURO pallets. This collaboration, which allows part of the products manufactured at Daikin’s Hendek factory and all imported equipment to be managed from a single center, minimizes costs and risks while ensuring an uninterrupted and more effective distribution process. This collaboration, which also enables faster and more qualified sales, aims to increase the success of Daikin Turkey’s warehouse management.

Hasan Önder, CEO of Daikin Turkey, said that the first results of the collaboration with TLS are already visible: “This way, we have all our supply chain requirements met by a professional service provider at a single point and the highest level. We can efficiently manage our entire logistics operation through a single system. Besides these improvements in all processes, from storage to packaging, from loading to distribution, we plan to make them even more effective in 2014.” Önder recalled his goal of making Turkey the logistics base of the region, saying, “This collaboration with TLS has brought us one step closer to our goal of making Turkey a logistics base.” Önder pointed out that Daikin Turkey’s goals for this year include the establishment of regional warehouses in Istanbul as well as in some other major cities, and said, “With this, it is clear that the possible damages and delays that may occur in the distribution process are to be made faster and of higher quality with the studies to be carried out at the micro-level. We aim to eliminate them.”

Commenting on the cooperation in question, TLS Logistics CEO Altuğ Hacıalioğlu said, “Being favored by a world giant like Daikin after a challenging tender process is the most significant indicator of competence not only for TLS Logistics but also for the Turkish logistics industry and a source of pride for us. This cooperation is also important because it shows that global corporations such as Daikin have started to use Turkey as a logistics base to deliver products to markets in the surrounding area.” Hacıalioğlu recalled that TLS is a company that always builds transparent and long-term relationships with its customers, noting that customers consider TLS a very reliable logistics partner due to the measurability of operational performance and the importance they attach to business continuity.
