TLS Logistics ADR Team is Up and Running!

TLS Logistics has established a 5-member team under the “ADR” regulation for transporting dangerous goods by road.

The regulation requires every company that stores, transports, and dispatches dangerous goods to employ a “DGSA” dangerous goods officer by September 1, 2014. However, TLS has also raised the bar in this area and, instead of relying on a single expert, has appointed a team of five dangerous goods safety advisors.

The team consists of Occupational Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality Manager Murat Güray, Logistics Special Projects Manager Ali Şar, Vega Logistics Center Deputy Manager Osman Sinan Mercan, Occupational Health, and Safety Specialist Emine Hilal Mollaoğlu and Operations Analysis and Process Development Specialist Handan Hacıalioğlu. The Chairman of the Board of TLS Logistics, Altuğ Hacıalioğlu, commented on this issue as follows: “As TLS, we formed a team of five people instead of hiring a single expert to maximize customer satisfaction. The team members completed a 5-day introductory training at TUGEM in February. On March 6, they took the exam in London. Those who successfully pass the exam, the results of which will be announced in May, will be eligible to use the title of Security Advisor.

According to the information we have received from TUGEM, TLS is currently the company that invests the most in this topic and gives it the most significant importance.” Team members will train all TLS personnel on ADR in the next phase.
